Minor Changes on Pool Student’s Blog
I’ve made a few changes recently to the Blog. Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe not. They’re not big but I wanted to point them out and mention that I’ll be making iterative changes to Pool Student’s Blog as time goes on.

The 1st change was about 2 weeks ago when I changed the color of the sidebar on the right. I’m not much of a designer, so the color and style won’t wow you, but that’s not why I did it. I was looking to highlight all of the cool stuff on the blog that’s not part of the list of posts that run down the left side of the page. My stats show that many people are going to these pages, but the numbers were much smaller than than I thought they should be, so I emphasized the sidebar to call attention to them.
The 2nd change was to add a FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions page. If you have any question about something on the blog about how something works or isn’t working, give this a look to see if your question is answered there. The link is in the extreme upper right corner of every page, between About and Contact. If not, use the Contact Page to let me know what the issue is and I’ll add it to the FAQ. If you have a question about something, someone else probably does too.
The 3rd change is the addition of a rating system at the end of every post and page. To vote, just highlight the number of stars you want to give, and click the mouse. If you will all vote on the things you read, letting me know what you think of them, I can adjust what I write about and what sections I add to, what kind of drills I add, etc. Please vote, it will improve the blog for you. I know it’s extra effort, but it would really be great if you would go back and rate those things you really like or really didn’t like, even though you’ve already read them.
Lastly, I added a poll to help me determine which of the many different kinds of things on the blog had the most fans. Counting visits (via my stat package) tells me a little, but only whether you went there, not whether you liked it.
I’m open to suggestions for improvement. I’m a one man show at the moment, so I don’t promise to get right on every idea, but I do have to allocate my time and the more something is liked and desired the more I’ll be working on it. What are the things you like the least? What are the things that I don’t have that you wish i did? And what is one thing that would really make Pool Student’s Blog the best pool blog out there?
