Melinda,

Good luck with your goal. Staying down, better yet staying still, is probably the biggest issue for so many players. I'm not sure if keeping the head still comes from golf, but I'm guessing it does. Even with a much more complicated swing, this simple thing (to say, not necessarily to do) can have an enormously positive impact. I'm glad to see it's helping you.

Benoit,

Your English is more than good enough to communicate clearly. So much better than my French would be. . . I watched your video. Pretty darn good for taking 9 years off! I saw the movement you spoke of; it's consistent across all your shots. I have a friend, also from Canada BTW, who does something very similar, moving the body forward into the shot just a little. I noticed that you tilt your head back at the instant you move. Are you uncomfortable bending over so far? If so, perhaps you could stand a little higher, toward the old school style. Either that or find some stretching exercises that will help you take any stiffness out of your neck. Good luck in your effort to eliminate the movement. If you are successful don't forget to come back and tell us how you did it.

Thanks for the tips! My over-arching goal this year is to stay down, so this was a great article that was full of good info. BTW, so far this year I have found out that not moving my head (number 8 above) is the biggest key to help me stay down. I hope to figure out more key things for my fundamentals, so thank you again.
