Playing pool on a team in a league can be a very rewarding experience. It’s fun, it gets you out of the house on a regular basis, and the camaraderie provided by your teammates, and even by some of those on opposing teams, adds a dimension to the fun that playing singles just doesn’t have. Singles play is great, don’t get me wrong, but if that’s the only way you play pool you’re missing out.


I started my relationship with pool 40 years ago. It burned brightly, but it burned out. I’ve returned to the game older and wiser and can appreciate it’s demands and my weaknesses much better. Pool is a game I’ll love til I die.


In the last week I’ve had 2 revelations that are making a big difference in my game. They aren’t improving my game, but minimizing the big swings in performance between good and very bad days. I bet you’ll be surprised at what they were.


Pool Student’s Blog passed 25,000 visits today, a major milestone for me. I’m using this post to solicit your opinions about what I should do to improve it, and make it more to your liking.
