Find-a-Shot Puzzle #05
There is a dead ball shot in this mass of balls somewhere, and it‘s your job to find it.
Good luck, and let me know what you think.

I hope you saw that the 11 is almost dead in the upper left corner, and that if you hit the 3 Ball on the right side you could throw the 11 left a little to make the shot. Now you have to decide the best way to hit the right side of the 3.
Your choices are to either combo the 7 Ball into the 3 or billiard off the 7 and go into the 3 with the cue ball.

Did you choose the billiard? Good, but why?

If you shoot the combo, you have to hit the ball quite hard because you‘ll be making a thin hit on the 7, so most of the cue ball‘s energy will stay with it. On the other hand, if you billiard into the 3 the cue ball retains much of its speed so you don‘t have to hit it as hard and you‘ll have better control.

I have to think that if you carom the cue ball off the 7 into the right side of the 3, the 11 should go.

Looks like 4 into 3 will get the job done. Might need some right English to throw 4 a touch, if cuts a little thin. Nice site BTW!!
